Knife blade WIP

Here is a little Sgian Dubh blade I have been working on, made from 1095 and differentially heat treated (my first successful diff treatment). Quench medium was a water based coolant used in lathes on edge only with metal at a consistent cherry red, worked a treat! tempered back slightly for 30 mins in oven at 175 degF.

I have some red deer antler I will make scales out of for this knife.

NOTE: Image shows blade after it had been removed from a acid etch, I will take it back with wet and dry sand paper to a nice sheen.
