Frontiersman bowie knife

This is my latest creation using a 10" old hickory butchers knife and reprofiling, cutting the tang, silver soldering a guard in place and put a sambar stag crown roll on pinned with brass. The idea was to make an American viking/frontiersman bowie with a seax in mind, as someone with Norwegian heritage.

The sheath I also made and carved, will post some better pics with more angles showing the runebind carvings on the sheath and crown face.
